New Year. New blog.

I’m not a fan of New Year’s Resolutions, because 2 weeks down the road, I forgot what I even resolved to do. Real life sets in, and my best laid plans are set aside. However, I do love new beginnings. “His mercies are new every morning.” I love a new pad of paper because it means there are a world of possibilities of what could be written. Since my techy hubby informed me paper is a thing of the past, I will consider my new blog like a new notebook.

We are currently in Tyler, TX until Jan. 12, 2012, and then we hop on a plane and fly back to Mombasa, Kenya for our 3rd term! Do you think anyone will invent teleportation in the next 13 days? Because the thought of traveling with 3 very active boys and lots of luggage all over the world does not excite me. In fact, it terrifies me, but I’m trying out all those verses about “do not be anxious about anything, but in EVERYTHING, by prayer and petition, present your requests to God. ” Dear God, please invent teleportation. Thank you.

This blog will be a little bit of everything, which suits me because I’ve never been very focused on any one thing. There will be stories of family, of my boys and the CRAZY things they do, of our life and God’s work in Kenya, of encouraging things I want to share with whomever is listening. And I plan to include as many pictures as I can. Happy reading.
